This year Holland celebrates its 200 year anniversary on 30 November, 2013. From 2013 to 2015, five large-scale celebrations will be held throughout the country. There is plenty to celebrate because as a nation Holland has achieved a great deal in 200 years. The Hague will host a huge festival with an open-air spectacle and a naval pageant by the Royal Navy on Scheveningen beach where it all began 200 years ago.
