Former dairy factory turned music hall

Located in the bustling heart of Amsterdam, the Melkweg is one of the city's leading entertainment venues. Its vivacious programme includes acts from upcoming and well-established artists and stages music, dance and theatre productions, and screens art house, cultural and classic films.

The Melkweg boasts three outstanding halls to support the contemporary live music programme, including a state-of-the-art hall, which can seat up to 1,000 people. Well-known names such as U2, NERD, Coldplay and the Beastie Boys have performed here in the past. 

Other special features of the Melkweg are an open platform, a media room and an exhibition area for exhibitions of innovative and contemporary photography. Furthermore, the Melkweg also hosts the 5 days off event together with Paradiso and the Netherlands Institute of Media
Art.
